Damien has over 35 years’ experience in the financial services sector domestically and internationally. He has a strong focus on developing and executing strategy, particularly around growth, through strong partnerships and stakeholder management. Between 2012 and 2022, Damien was the CEO of the Queensland Investment Corporation (QIC) and lead the Executive Committee team to achieve QIC’s strategic and business objectives.
During 2007 and 2012, Damien was the country head of BlackRock Australia and responsible for managing the Australian business of the largest Fund Manager in the world, originating and importing products and solutions for Australian and APAC clients. Damien’s career has also included roles at Merrill Lynch Investment Management, Barclays Global Investors and Citibank.
Damien is a Queenslander and prior to his career in financial services he represented Australia in rugby union from 1986 to 1988.
