The Hon Greg Combet AM

Greg Combet is well known for his public roles as the leader of the Australian Council of Trade Unions and as a Labor Government Minister.
Greg has been involved in industry superannuation for 30 years: providing policy advice to union trustees, as an ACTU trustee director, as Deputy Chair of AustralianSuper, and more recently as Principal Advisor to ISA. In the Rudd and Gillard Goverments Greg contributed to superannuation policy and legislation.
Greg is also the Chair of IFM Investors, has an Honorary Doctorate of the University of South Australia, Doctorate of Letters Honoris Causa (University of Newcastle) and is a member of the Invest Victoria Advisory Board, and was appointed by the Prime Minister to the National Covid-19 Coordination Commission.
Greg is a proven leader, strategist, complex problem solver and crisis manager with extensive, hands-on knowledge of Australian industry and the workings of Parliament and government. He has degrees in mining engineering and economics, and a diploma in labour relations and the law. Greg was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia in 2006, and is the co-author of The Fights of My Life.
