Peter Collins has been at the coalface of Super Policy for the last decade. Formerly Chair and now Deputy Chair of Industry Super Australia, he has defended and proclaimed the achievement of Industry Funds leading the way in the Financial sector.
Only last month, Peter completed 15 years as an Independent Director of HOSTPLUS watching that fund grow from $4.8M to now $65M. He was also the founding Chairman of the Sydney Financial Forum and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees (FAIST).
In his 22 year career in the NSW Parliament, he served as Treasurer, Attorney General, Health, and Arts Minister, then as Leader of the Opposition. He has since chaired several public boards including Australian Institute of Health & Welfare, Legal Aid Commission of NSW, Cancer Institute, and currently Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District.
In November last, he was appointed President of the Powerhouse Museum by the NSW Government for the biggest cultural infrastructure project (over $1.35B) since the Sydney Opera House.
He served as an officer in both Army and Navy Reserves, saw Active Service in Iraq , and left the RAN with the senior rank of Captain.
Peter is also a current member of the Future of Sydney CBD Commission initiated by the Committee for Sydney.
With his wife Jennine, he has restored historic Werrington House in Western Sydney over the last decade.
