Michael O’Connor
Director
Michael has been involved with industry superannuation funds since the 1980s. He is Co-Chair of First Super, which has 46,000 members across the timber, pulp & paper and furniture & joinery industries and their communities.
Michael is also the National Secretary of the Manufacturing Division of the Construction Forestry Maritime Mining & Energy Union (CFMEU). He has been with the Union for over twenty-five years, commencing work as a union organiser in 1985.
Further to the above, Michael is: Director of Forest Works Pty Ltd; and Director/Chair of Secure Employees Entitlements Trust (SEET). Michael has previously been a Director of Frontier Consulting Pty Ltd, asset-consulting to a range of industry and not-for-profit funds.
