Senior Policy Adviser
Michael joined ISA to primarily work on regulatory policy as well as specialising in research and policy related to retirement income systems, both locally and internationally.
He has been a director of TelstraSuper and previously worked at the Australian Council of Trade Unions on policy and advocacy in the field of superannuation and retirement incomes.
Michael studied economics and social policy at Birkbeck College in London and holds a PhD in industrial relations from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne.
He has extensive experience working in public policy development in the UK and Australia, with a particular interest in the potential that intergenerational risk-sharing and solidarity may have for responding to the consequences of increasing life expectancy.
