Super sting costs WA mums $168 million

West Australian mothers have missed out on more than $168 million in retirement savings because the federal government refuses to pay super on its parental leave scheme.

Industry Super Australia analysis shows almost 150,000 WA mothers have received Commonwealth Parental Leave Pay in the last 10 years. But none were paid super during their time off meaning their retirement savings were falling behind.
