ISA welcomes the opportunity to comment on the exposure draft legislation published by
Treasury in support of the proposed Your Future, Your Super (YFYS) policy package.
ISA has broadly welcomed the YFYS package. It contains several measures that have the
potential to improve retirement outcomes for millions of superannuation fund members.
However, to realize this potential there are some important problems with the current version of the proposals that require further consideration by the Government.
In this submission we highlight a number of those problems. In some cases we suggest
alternative approaches that we believe would better serve the interests of members.
