Which Industry SuperFund can I choose?

If you are an employer, you must offer all employees that are eligible for superannuation a choice of which fund their payments are made into^. On 1 January 2010, new Modern Awards came into force. In most cases, these awards specify the super fund/s that an employer must make contributions to if an eligible employee fails to choose a fund. These are called default funds.

The tool below helps employers find the fund/s listed in your industry's Modern Award that carry the Industry SuperFunds' symbol.

By choosing a fund that carries the Industry SuperFunds' symbol as your workplace default fund, you can be sure the fund is run only to benefit members. It could mean tens of thousands of dollars more for your employees' retirement.*

To find out which Industry SuperFunds are listed within a Modern Award as a default fund for a particular industry and/or occupation; first choose the appropriate industry then the relevant occupation.

It's important to note that the industries listed are those to which Modern Awards apply and in many instances the occupations are described in a generic way. Not all employees and occupations within an industry are subject to a Modern Award, so you should confirm that the Modern Award applies. If you are not sure if the Modern Award applies to your circumstance, we suggest you visit the Fair Work Australia website to investigate further.
